Biography of Farooq Mayar
Farooq Mayar is a taxation and business management specialist with extensive experience in public finance, tax administration, and corporate advisory services.
He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Herat (2019) and a Diploma in Servant Leadership from the Institute of Leadership Development (ILD) (2015).
His master’s thesis, titled “Implementation of the Self-Assessment Tax System in Afghanistan and Its Impact on Improving Taxpayer Compliance,” examined the effectiveness of Afghanistan’s self-assessment tax system and its role in enhancing voluntary tax compliance.
In addition to his professional career, Mr. Mayar has served as an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Herat, contributing to higher education through teaching and mentoring students.
